Contact info@earny.co.za with your name and service reference. We assess paid work against the accepted scope, what has actually been delivered, authorised costs and your applicable consumer rights.
What this policy covers
This policy covers agency projects and paid mentorship supplied by Earny, run by Victor Soko in Johannesburg, South Africa. It forms part of our Terms of service. A written proposal may add service-specific arrangements but cannot remove mandatory consumer rights.
The current masterclass is free, so there is no course payment to refund. Leaving it does not create a charge. Inner Circle enquiries and saved briefs do not start billing; paid mentorship requires separate agreement. For a product you bought from an independent Shopify merchant, contact that merchant; Earny is not automatically its seller.
How to make a request
Email info@earny.co.za with the subject “Cancellation” or “Refund request”. Include your name, the email used for the service, invoice or project reference if available, the amount and date paid, the issue or requested cancellation date, and the resolution you want. You may also notify your existing project contact. Do not send full payment-card details or passwords.
We aim to acknowledge a request within 5 business days and provide a decision or a substantive progress update within 10 business days of receiving the information needed to assess it. These are service targets, not a restriction on statutory deadlines or your right to seek another remedy.
Cancelling or pausing an agency project
Tell us as early as possible. On receiving a cancellation request, we will identify the effective cancellation date, stop avoidable new commitments and provide an itemised account of work delivered, authorised expenses and any unused advance. A pause requires an agreed restart plan; dates may need to change.
Where cancellation is not governed by a stronger statutory right, the settlement reflects the accepted agreement and reasonable, evidenced work or costs already incurred. We do not impose a blanket “all deposits are non-refundable” rule. Any cancellation charge must be disclosed, applicable and lawful; unearned balances are refunded after the reconciliation. We will explain a disputed deduction and its basis rather than assume the entire payment is forfeited.
Mentorship sessions and recurring arrangements
The accepted mentorship offer must state its dates, number of sessions, access period, rescheduling terms, any notice requirement and price. Ask to reschedule as early as possible. A missed session is not automatically forfeited under this website policy; the agreed, reasonable booking terms and applicable law determine the outcome.
If you cancel a paid package, we will assess sessions already supplied, services still outstanding and any lawful cancellation charge. If Earny cancels a session, we will offer an agreed replacement or the refund due for the undelivered service. The current site does not initiate recurring subscriptions. Any future recurring offer must explain how to stop future billing before you subscribe.
Undelivered, defective or incorrect services
Contact us with the relevant deliverable and a description of the problem. We will compare the work with the agreed scope and discuss an appropriate remedy. Where applicable law gives you a choice of remedy, that right is preserved. Depending on the facts, a remedy may involve correcting or completing the service, or refunding the appropriate amount.
If Earny cannot deliver an agreed service, we will discuss revised arrangements only with your agreement, or refund amounts due for undelivered work. A statement that commercial results are not guaranteed does not excuse failure to provide the service that was actually promised.
Third-party charges
Shopify plans, domains, themes, apps, advertising, payment processing and suppliers may charge you directly under their own terms. We cannot promise a refund from an independent provider, but can help identify the correct contact where relevant.
For costs Earny purchases on your behalf, we will show the authorised commitment and any recovered or recoverable amount. We will not use a third-party label to avoid Earny’s own responsibility under an agreement or applicable law.
Approved refunds
We confirm the amount, any lawful deductions and the method in writing. Refunds normally go back through the original payment method; if that is unavailable, we agree a secure alternative with the verified payer. We aim to initiate an approved refund within 10 business days after the decision and any necessary payment verification, or sooner where law requires. Bank or payment-provider processing can add time.
We do not require store credit instead of a monetary refund where a monetary refund is legally due. Keep the confirmation and tell us if the refund has not arrived within the advised period.
Cooling-off rights and complaints
Depending on how the agreement was made and the type of service, South African consumer law may give you cooling-off, cancellation, service-quality or refund rights. Electronic transactions, direct marketing and fixed-term arrangements can have different rules and exceptions. Starting a service does not automatically mean every statutory right is waived. Where a statutory right applies, its conditions and deadlines override a less favourable term here.
If you disagree with our response, reply with the disputed points and ask Victor Soko to review them. You may also use the appropriate consumer regulator, dispute-resolution body or court. See the Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. Nothing in this policy requires you to give up a lawful complaint, chargeback or other remedy.
